Snacking at Madd Hatters
I love Madd Hatter fries.. Even though you don't get a ton, their still worth it in my opinion. Not sure what they do to 'em but their pretty damn good! And the three sauces to compliment 'em only adds to the love! lol
This is a cool spot to go to when you're in need of internet wifi & hungry. They have plenty of outlets & a variety of sandwiches, desserts & salads. I stress plenty of desserts again, their cookies are bomb! lol
You subject to stumble across anyone in their while working or web surfing. I've met some great people in this spot, some that i've established pretty good relationships with. Their over on Broad & Main st. in Durham over near the Duke area.
Under the lens...
It’s amazing the things a person can hide behind a smile. We all have to be so tough in this world. Never showing any vulnerability, never knowing who to trust, never believing in happiness. We laugh when we really feel like crying. We let it go when we really care. We fight even when we know we’re wrong. We go through all the motions, just to avoid the reality of our emotions. We aren’t meant to go through life numb, feeling protected in our glass houses. You’re not that tough, you care about something. Sure, it’s easy being care free, but don’t suck the life out of your body refusing to feel because it doesn’t do anything but kill you slowly. Certain things happen because that’s the essence of how we learn, through feeling; be it joy or pain. Growing hurts, but pain promotes maturity. At the end of the day you have to trust somebody, you may not trust them with everything, but you have to trust somebody with something. When you could care less about everything in your world, it’s because you have nothing real in your world. Be strong enough to care about something. You wouldn’t have to hide behind things if you didn’t hide from yourself. Happiness and love are not just idea’s, they are realities. I pray entirely too much for them not to be.
Pie Pushers
Don’t ever allow anybody to tell you what you can’t do. A humble mind has no limits, it only has goals and nothing will stop it from reaching them. Don’t let fear get in your way, don’t let opinions deter you, and don’t let doubt hold you back. The only thing between you and your dreams is you. How much do you believe in those prayers? How much do you want those tears to stop? How much faith do you really have in yourself? You have to know that all you desire is yours. Not because anybody told you that you couldn’t have it, more so because you know you deserve it. So many people fall short because they shoot short. A wise person will always shoot beyond their goals, that way if they fall short, they’ll still be in reach of their dreams. Everybody won’t be the greatest, everybody won’t be president, and everybody won’t be the best, but you’re not like everybody else. Somebody has to be the leader, somebody has to be the innovator, somebody, has to make a way out of no way. Why shouldn’t that person be you? When you question whether you’re good enough, you put yourself farther and farther away from what you deserve. The question is not if you’re good enough; you know you’re good enough. The question is if they can handle it. Fear is a common excuse for average people, you can’t be scared and be great, they just don’t coincide. Be fearless. Be inspired. Be unstoppable.
Father Time
The most important thing you can give anybody is your time. Some people would actually prefer time with you over love from you. Your love is fulfilling, but your time shows appreciation. Somebody thinks so highly of you that all they want to do is to be in your presence. I know times get busy, im guilty of it myself but you have to learn how to juggle being busy and doing what’s necessary. Work will always be there; love does not come with that same promise which i learned the hard way. Sure love never dies, but love does not have to die in order to leave you. Cant take things for granted. Assess your life; do the people that really matter know how important they are to you? If they don’t, fix it. Make time to put a smile on your someones face. You don’t have to do something extravagant, just be thoughtful every once in awhile. Quality time is undivided attention. We’re all guilty of cell phone pleasures as they say, but you’ll still live if you turn it off for an hour or two. Start giving the people in your life the time they deserve.
Home from college
Never let your doubts outshine your dreams. You have to believe in yourself for yourself. Success appreciates support, but its primary requirement is the faith you have in you. There are a million people out there eager to tell you what you can’t do, be confident enough to have a trillion reasons as to why you can. When people doubt you it only puts limitations on them, but allow those same doubts to place motivation in you. Be careful who you share your dreams with, when people realize they can’t reach theirs they’ll do whatever they can to steal yours. Some feel like if you succeed then it means that they can’t. So instead of chasing their own success they’ll try to block you from yours. However, when people pray on your downfall it only expedites theirs. God does not answer the prayers of the spiteful. Favor aint fair and neither is success. If you aren’t willing to give up what I gave then you won’t get what I have. Sacrifice is solemn. Embrace who you are. Everybody won’t understand you because everybody can’t be you. You are you for a divine reason. Take your dreams to places the doubters can only fantasize about. Let their fear be the constant fuel to your faith knowing that what God has for you, is for you and only you.
What the......
There is no such thing as being too nice. People can only take advantage of you when you give them the advantage. Be yourself, don’t allow people that don’t matter to you to change you. When you allow irrelevant people to inspire relevant changes, you’re moving backwards. Learn to deal with people on an individual basis. Don’t assume that all men/women are the same just because the men/women you dealt with were similar. When somebody does something to you, handle it with them. Everybody shouldn’t have to take on the hell one person created. If people constantly take your kindness for weakness, it’s probably because your kindness isn’t genuine. People take advantage of fake things because they’re disposable, but when something is real, people take care of it, not advantage of it. It’s foolish to think you can trust everybody but it’s even more foolish to believe that nobody is trustworthy. Learn to recognize the snakes and be smart enough to realize that everybody isn’t one. If you can group all the people in your life into the same category then you have the wrong people in your life. If you want happiness, get around some happy people. Changing the people around you can really change the things inside you.
