Recently inside of Dicks Sporting Goods & a few other places rounding up Snowboard gear.. Excited to hear about the snow fall so far but definitely would love to see more in certain areas. We're always staying in tune with the weather to see which locations are best.

Life & Lemons

Life is simple, it’s just not easy. Every day is a challenge, every week it’s something new, every month things are different, and every year flies by. Rising to challenges, accepting changes, and embracing differences isn’t optional if success is something you desire. Life was meant to be lived in a way that gives it meaning. The wise understand that a life with no cause; has no effect. If you’re not living with a sense of purpose, everything you do day to day is worthless. Some will think you’re young and you have time, but reality is; more people die young these days than they do old. Sometimes the pride that you think is guiding you the right way, is the same thing that’s getting you lost. Most people have to party hard because they don’t know how to live happy. You need something to numb that self inflicted pain. Everything you do today should bring benefits to your tomorrow. It is no good working hard for your resume to get longer at the price of your peace of mind and happiness getting smaller. Make moves that not only spark success but also speak to your soul. You can take a million steps forward but if your steps have no direction you’ll never reach your destination. Have a plan and make it plain, because if you don’t you’ll be on the road to doing everything but accomplishing nothing.

“Attract greatness”

Change your thoughts and the way you think because it has a profound influence on the way you live your life. The universe attracts what you put out, so if you want love but think about hurt, you’ll get hurt and blame it on love. Your reality is a result of what your thoughts and actions have attracted. Everything and everybody in your life is there because of who you are. If you don’t feed yourself the right things you’re only hurting yourself and making room for more of the wrong.  Everything is not a coincidence; certain things have to knock you out because pain is the only thing that will wake you up. What has you so scared to the point where you feel you need to act so hard? Put your guard down and pull your faith up. Stop hating the misery of your past and fall in love with the possibilities of your future. Put yourself around people who people who are successful and watch it manifest in your life. Most get annoyed when you’re “in your zone” because they’re unable to understand where you're at mentally. Stop running from you and start living for you. Go through your fears and gain courage from them. Allow your thoughts and actions to work for you and release all doubt because it will only work against you. Feed yourself greatness and that’s exactly what you will put out.

New Beginnings

Don’t ever take experiences for granted. The things you learn from temporary pain can lead to long term happiness. When it comes to moving on and starting over most people make the mistake of learning what to avoid, instead of what to look for. If the past still hurts, it’s because you haven’t gained what you needed to know in order to move forward.  Don’t just learn lessons for the sake of appearing smart; be wise and actually apply them to your life. Stop being so afraid to start over. A new beginning is a blessing few people get to receive. You’ll keep making the same mistakes over and over again if you choose to get bitter instead of better. Move your mind to a better place. There’s no point in stepping out on faith if you’ve built your thoughts on quicksand. Time is the most valuable thing you can spend. Don’t waste yours kicking your burdens when you could be counting your blessings. New beginnings are only difficult when they occur without action. Fresh starts may be a challenge but you’re not starting out as a rookie, you’re starting over as a veteran.  You’re starting over wiser, stronger and more prepared through experience. Don’t let your fear conqueror your faith, remember that all good things must end in order for great things to begin.

RIP Bertha L. Goins (Grandmother) 6 years Today

This will probably be the most symbolic picture that i will ever post on flickr. This photo is about the memory versus the technical aspects of photography. I could care less about framing, perspective or anything else in this shot. This is a shot of me and my grandmother the night before she passed on Feb 10, 2004.

My grandmother passed away from breast cancer and fought that battle for a few years. She put up a tough fight till the last days.. I remember she was more worried about the family and how everyone would be and she was the one going through the fight.

She was one of the most influential women in my life, the one that taught me a lot of my core values that i stand strong & believe in to this day. She is my inspiration, drive & motivation as to why i strive for greatness & refuse to accept anything less from myself or anyone else around me.

Today, February 10, 2010 makes 6 years since her physical depart.

Rest In Peace Grams, from your grandson! Love ya always!
